About the Role
We're hiring a Risk Lead to sit on our Market Operations team and own day-to-day risk monitoring across the exchange. The integrity of our markets and the health of the exchange itself are everything. Mispriced markets, coordinated trading, and information asymmetry threaten fairness for every user on the platform. You'll be the person who sees it first, sizes it correctly, and decides what to do about it.
This is a hands-on, high-judgment role. You'll build the dashboards, manage the alerts, work the queue, and be on the phone with Engineering and Compliance when something moves. You'll report to the Head of Markets and work closely with Analytics, Operations, and the Fraud team.
Who you are and what you will do

Monitor market integrity in real time. Track activity across open markets, price movements, liquidity depth, and trading patterns. Flag mispricing, market manipulation, and suspicious or abnormal trading activity before it threatens market fairness or exchange health.

Build the tooling. Design and ship dashboards, alerts, and monitoring workflows that scale as we add markets, leagues, and users. You'll partner with Analytics and Engineering, but you own the spec.

Run the alert queue. Triage anomalies, investigate suspicious or abnormal trading activity, and decide in real time whether to adjust market parameters, cap position sizes, suspend a market, or escalate.

Partner with Marketing on incentive design. Pressure-test promotions, the Novig Points loyalty program, and bonus structures for abuse vectors and exchange risk before they ship. Align with Lifecycle Marketing on guardrails that protect the platform without dulling the offer.

Escalate cleanly to Fraud. Maintain a sharp operational line between risk events (market integrity and exchange health) and fraud events. Hand off multi-accounting, wash trading, bonus abuse, and KYC/AML concerns to the Fraud team with the evidence packaged.

You bring 4-6 years of total experience, with at least 2 in a risk-oriented role like trading, market operations, surveillance, or quantitative analysis - ideally at an exchange, prediction market, prop trading firm, sportsbook, or fintech with a real-time market surface.

Strong analytical instincts. Comfortable with SQL, BI tools, and agentic platforms. You should be able to build your own metrics and translate them cleanly.

Sharp judgment under time pressure. You can tell the difference between a sharp trader with a legitimate edge and a coordinated attack on the market, and you know which one needs which response.

Working knowledge of sports markets, pricing, and liquidity dynamics. Familiarity with prediction markets, derivatives, or order-book exchanges is a strong plus.

Understanding of where risk ends and fraud begins and a bias for clean escalation rather than scope creep.

Operator's mindset. You're comfortable wearing multiple hats and tackling issues as they surface.
